The ExperienceTignes and Val d'Isère offer reliable snow, fast lift systems and lively après ski. Linked together to form the Espace Killy ski area, they encompass terrain for all levels so do not think it is just for experts. These resorts are comfortable places to learn and it's a real paradise for intermediate skiers where there are kilometres of wide, sunny pistes and some more challenging skiing. There is even the glacier at Val Claret which assures guaranteed snow. Tignes Le Lac (where the Chalets Isabella and Emile are located) is the middle village surrounding the lake. Val Claret is a few minutes bus ride away, or a 10-minute walk across the frozen lake. A free bus service connects the villages and operates until late at night. Val d'Isère is a linear resort split into 3 areas, linked by a regular bus service. The fantastic and central Val Village is where all of the finest chalets are located.
