The Experience

Obergurgl is Austria's highest parish, so excellent snow and a lengthy ski season are almost guaranteed. The village is unspoilt (there is no through traffic), the slopes are quiet and the ski area is varied - making this an ideal area for mixed ability groups. It is easy to see why so many people return year after year to enjoy the great snow and first class hotels.

Hochgurgl is a higher satellite resort, a gondola ride away. Not to be missed is the breathtaking view from the panoramic "Top Mountain Star" restaurant.

Après-ski is varied with the Nederhütte at Gaisberg a renowned mountain hut. In Obergurgl itself, the rustic Krump'n Stadl barn is popular as is the Hexenkuchl. Toni's Almhütte is a lively place for evening entertainment in Hochgurgl.
